I know that the title of this thread has the look of an arrogant, self righteious rant. But that is not what I am trying to communicate at all.

What has me horribly distraught is that I have made it a point to talk to most of my neighbors this weekend about the Georgia-Russia-USA problem and a couple of them even chuckled about it.

I even tried to talk to a close friend about it and she just kind of chuckled and mumbled something in regards to Bible Prophecy ( which I didn't feel was even related at all). There has only been one person I've talked to that has even given me the time of day about this potentially earth shattering potential that is brewing overseas.

It's as though they think that they can deal with it by completely ignoring the problem at hand. It appears that the entire nation has chose to be willfully ignorant about the impending meltdown at our doorstep. The problem being if the crap were to hit the fan in the next 24 to 72 hours I know I would have most of these people trying to knock my door down.

It is so frustrating to try to warn people who just laugh and chuckle at you. It is downright discouraging to see that the American people are completely un-prepared in the event of a tradgedy or emergency. Or am I the only one who has encountered this problem? Or am I over-reacting to this??

JD-..............Don't spill your pearls amongst the swine! That is not an exact quote and it is in the bible.

Remember whtwtrdood............he was so closed minded none of us could get through to him. I am not sure he was not exactly what he said he was and just checked here to see what was being posted. He seemed very frightened to think that his government was not what the PR says it is. There are all kinds of people and they have had years of brainwashing and trauma.........starting from their birth.

What I suggest you do is that you join a Ron Paul Meet-up Group. There you will find like minded people who will have all kinds of ideas and political actions to take that will support you.

Don't waste you time with people who do not want to hear what you have to say. Spend time with people who are at least willing to listen to you and work about turning this country around. You are wasting your time on them when you could be much more productive.

Most of all it will ware you down and that you do not need to do now. You will be no use to the Freedom movement if you are worn down. Just a suggestion.

Also there are more and more people waking up every day. I am finding it so much easier to talk with people now. It has been amazing how the passing of the FISA ligeslation has changed people's minds.

Americans do not like being spied on without any constraints and essentially establishes a police state in America. Warrantless wiretapping is a cause for great concern.

Oh I am very well aware of the Bible Verse that says not to throw your pearls before swine>> and in the context of this subject matter it is truly applicable to the scenerio it applies to in the Bible. Jesus even said that if you go into a town and tell them the news and they don't receive you then for you to literally kick the dust off of your shoes as a show of defiance for those who reject the truth.
What little family I have remaining have chalked me off as a mental case and have refused to watch any videos or read any books I've offered them.
I guess I thought that something of this magnitude would even catch the attention of the movie and sitcom and sports addicts>> but then again I guess I can put that one in the "wishful thinking" slot.
But it is funny what does happen when a real emergency does take place>> CASE & POINT>> back in February of 2002 we had a brutal ice storm here in our area. It was so bad that even FEMA came to help folks. And at that time most of these people were literally in a state of panic>> whereas I had firewood and a stove to keep my home toasty warm. I had a Coleman stove to cook on. I had plenty of food and water. While most of my neighbors at that time were even driving as far as 50 to 60 miles away to find a motel room to stay in until our power was restored. I can only imagine how they will panic when the martial law and food control comes about. You think they would have learned by way the ice storm. Nope!! they are dumber now than there were then.

I agree with MM, remember to recharge with folks that are yearning for this stuff. I picked up a hitchhiker and when he got out, after I covered A:F2Fascism, Ed and Elaine, Ron Paul vs. 'Obama,Hillary,McCain-all-the-same', ..., he had a great big smile on his face and said ' www.losthorizons.com I gotta remember that one! Thanks, this was a very! interesting conversation.'

Also, I had a nice organic pot luck with 3 others last night specifically to watch America: Freedom to Fascism, a hit, they loved it, although were justifiably freaked out; I gave them a copy of the audio Creature from Jekyll Island and David Icke's July 6th,2008 presentation Big Brother, The Big Picture.

Russo's video again showed me that these clever Int. Bankers have different levels of the pyramid working. That is: some people think this is all about oil and control of energy. Yes, that is true. But, few see that it's the plan to unify the world under one govt., one military, and I'm so happy more are getting the awareness. Kinda like those Montreal'ers that stated something like, ' Tons of people know the truth of 9/11 and 7/7, and if you let anything happen here, we're not going to believe you'.

Last night I went up to get a late night snack at a local fast food joint. Next to the restaurant is a BlockBuster Video store ( movie rental place). Even at 11:00PM on a week night there were throngs of people going to rent these silly and outrageous Hollywood movies. Not even aware that the country is about to go up in flames in many major cities they just bury their cares in some stupid DVD that they rent at BlockBuster.
What people are prioritizing in their lives is completely beyond belief. But then again we had a period known as the "Roaring 20s" which preceeded the Great Depression. It truly is history repeating itself in a very eerie and macabre fashion.
I can understand people being in denial about what is on the horizon>> but I just can't figure for the life of me why they despise and laugh at those who are trying to prepare for the total mayhem that is at our doorstep. I guess it's no different than it ever was>> the human animal seems to want to choose his/her own reality>> so they think.
