That's great news "aa" but do keep in mind that there have been many advanced technologies that have either been shelved, moth-balled, bought out or just plain eliminated.

For Example many of the technologies and inventions of Nichola Tesla have been kept either under national security or have been hidden from the public. They say that the H.A.A.R.P. Project up in Alaska for instance is a technology that Tesla had either innovated or stumbled upon.

I can remember back in 1978 when a guy took and modified a Ford Pinto ( which was one of Ford's small economical cars of that era 1979). He got it to where he drove it from southern Florida to Washington D. C. and he got around 80 miles to a gallon of gas. I only heard 2 more news stories about it and then all of a sudden you never heard about it again.

They have many advanced technologies that could take us off of petroleum products for the most part ( other than obvious basic lubrication needs). Whether or not they will allow this technology to come to the forefront will be another story entirely. I sure hope something comes of it.

its not much of an invention.

all it is... is a better form of electrolysis.

one which uses catalitic electrodes, which dont corrode, which could easily be done with just platinum and gold...

and it allows them to use nuetral ph water.. so it doesnt have to have acid or salt added to it.

but..

its no big advance.

the amount of hydrogen gas generated is not more than old school electrolysis.. using pure platinum electrodes.

and the only advantage is you can use pure water, without the salt.

so what.

salt is not a polutant... and can be recycled in any electrolysis system.

the hard part.. is compressing and storing the hydrogen and oxygen.

their invention.. is just nuetral ph electrolysis, which im sorry to say doesnt advance anything, and ONLY REMOVES THE SALT.

Ya. It sounds like they use solar panels to do the catalytic electrolysis, and then maybe run a generator on the Oxygen/Hydrogen gas, or maybe another catalytic process of the H and O back to water, to get electricity. A step in the right direction. And, if people can make their own, even better.
I agree with the point of storing/ possibly pressurizing the gas.

I still like the idea of using any ag. waste or human crap and animal manure for methane generation in an anaerobic digester (in other words, store the material in a location without Oxygen ). My experiment is bubbling away, though haven't tried to capture the gas yet. And, the end product other than methane, is awesome, very absorbable, clean fertilizer.
