Careful, it is a federal crime to deface currency. Sad

I love to see the expressions on clerks faces when I tell them that after they used their markers to test if the paper is really a debt note.

I tend to agree with your being cautious concerning defacing a piece of currency Munchie because at this point in time this totally depraved and corrupt federal government is truly about as unpredictable as a Rotweiler that just ate 50 tabs of LSD. Because that law you make referece to is one federal law that I have not seen them enforce in quite some time. I have a friend who is really into coin collecting and he makes jewelry and belt buckles with older Silver Dollars and he sells them at gun shows with Feds crawling all over the place and he has never been acosted by any local LEO or government goon either one. And you would think that gun shows would be havens for busting people for even the smallest of law infractions.

But on the other hand I do fully respect your position and would urge MM and others to heed your advice at this time. This is one case where it is better to be safe than sorry. Because with the completely power-drunk goons we have running the country now I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Federal government were to make "Spitting On The Sidewalk" a class A felony.

However when you think about it that is another law that clearly shows us that we truly have no rights what so ever in this country and it also shows that none of us actually legally own anything per se. Because when you think about it if you were to do a day's work for a guy and at the end of the day he would pay you 50 silver dollars ( instead of the fake paper notes) then they supposedly and theoretically would belong to you. And with that being said if they are yours then you should be able to do with them as you please.

But when you think about it that is just more proof positive that we actually don't have true legitimate ownership of anything because that law you speak of would prevent you from doing something to an item that supposedly belongs to you. You know when you think just one inch outside the box you don't have to look far at all to realize that this system is truly a complex hoax and an elaborate farce. Our system of government is truly the biggest con job in the history of civilization. What's scary is that 90% of the people really believe we are a free people and truly have a right to a fair trial. As a nation I bet that you could find at least a dozen countries that have more true freedom than we do here in the USA. It is a sad time.

Pretty damn hard to police. However, I for one will not advocate defacing the Federal Reserve NOTES (is it currency?) but I have received bills that had the eye blacked, out, on the building the words were written, "the enemy is within, and 666 on the foreheads of some of the presidents!

I also got some with a Vote Ron Paul stamp on them! I have no idea who did that..................yet I myself received these bills at different stores where I had made purchases.

I have just learned that the Federal Reserve Notes are just Legal Instruments issued by a private corporation and not currency at all! Now I wonder if it is illegal to deface Legal Instruments? I guess the answer to that is ....................it will be illegal if the guys with the guns say it is illegal!

I suppose if we used the pens that the clerks used to check if it is legal .......would that be considered defacing....................I have seen bills with the eye blacked out, enemy within written on the building, and 666 on the forehead of the president! Incredible!

Yeah Maidmarion that's pretty much what I was trying to get across in my long winded previous post. When you have a bunch of bastard thugs who make up the rules as they go and then cancel and omit rules when the rules would make them be in any semblance of compliance you just can't really bank on anything being written in concrete.

That's one of the main reasons Sherry Jackson got railroaded. Her case was similar to that of Tommy Cryer and Joe Bannister and she should have been dismissed as they were. I truly thought that case was to be a "slam dunk" for the citizens. But the judge and others involved prevented evidence from being shown and rigged the court to where it was impossible to put on a viable defense you have to conclude that they don't comply by any rules other than the ones that favor them. For reasons obvious to most of us who are up to speed on the vast corruption in the court systems they totally rigged that trial to where even Mother Teresa would have been made out to be a criminal.

The sad fact of the matter is that we the people have indeed been stripped of all of our Constitutional rights for quite some time and we certainly don't any longer have any civil rights to speak of either. This is a government ruled and dispensated by a group of organized thugs ( mainly the ones in black robes and white shirts). And sadly and unfortunately that's really just exactly how the game is getting played anymore. I truly believe that the mob treats people with more respect and dignity than the present thugs in government do. As I've said before "These scumballs even eat their own".

Whoever fraudulently possesses, passes, utters, publishes, or sells, or attempts to pass, utter, publish, or sell, or brings into the United States, any such coin, knowing the same to be altered, defaced, mutilated, impaired, diminished, falsified, scaled, or lightened— Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.

Whoever mutilates, cuts, defaces, disfigures, or perforates, or unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, or Federal Reserve bank, or the Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt unfit to be reissued, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

And the burden of proof is in their corner. In other words. how can they prove it was you that wrote on the money...........unless you do it in plain sight!
