Ignorance is not bliss. Without impotent action of the American People such as being daily demonstrated, the machinery of Hell could not survive. Ed and Elaine have put their trust in the Patriot community, and the patriot community has put them out of their mind because remembrance of them reminds armchair patriots of their inherent impotency to act.
