The federal government's attempt to stop a group of gold-standard activists from minting an alternative to the greenback is about to face its first legal test.

A dozen people around the country filed suit in U.S. District Court in Idaho this week demanding the return of all the copper, silver, gold, and platinum coins — more than seven tons of metal in all — that the FBI and Secret Service seized in November during raids of a mint in Idaho and a strip mall storefront in Indiana.

If these stupidity cases within the government would stop to realize a few things they might even realize that the liberty dollar poses no threat what so ever to their false currency known as Federal Reserve Notes.

First and foremost the participants are not using the liberty dollar as a legal tender currency per se at all. They are trading them based on the value of the bullion content of the coin. In other words the liberty dollar has real, genuine, intrinsic value versus the FRNs which are nothing more than Parker Brothers "MONOPOLY" game board money.

What the government is probably very uptight about is that many of the people might stop to realize that the bullion coins actually have REAL VALUE. But in reality if they would just ignore the whole issue and let the very few who want to trade with the Liberty Dollar alone they would soon realize that their bartering won't amount to squat in the big picture.

Here is another case where the government themselves are creating the problem. Creating a problem where one doesn't even exist to begin with. What a bunch of brain farts.
