Recently, our president criticized Pakistani President Musharraf for suspending the Pakistani constitution. Isn’t it strange that, while criticizing a foreign leader for restricting rights in another country, our leaders are working to destroy our constitutional rights?

Our president threatened Congress to get the Patriot Act passed. This was since followed by such un-American legislation as the Real ID Act, the Military Commissions Act, the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act, the Protect America Act, and the Restore Act. Each of these pieces of legislation strips us of our constitutional rights.

What our “leaders” don’t seem to realize is that the Constitution and the Bill of Rights cannot be altered by unconstitutional laws. In the still-standing Supreme Court decision of Marbury vs. Madison (1803), the court ruled that “All laws repugnant to the Constitution are null and void.” The last time I checked, the Constitution and Bill of Rights are still in effect. In order to separate us from our God-given rights, as enumerated in the Bill of rights, the Constitution and Bill of Rights must be amended. Passing a law isn’t sufficient to strip us of our rights.

We have but four boxes to keep government in check -- the ballot box, the soapbox, the jury box and the cartridge box. We’re not using the first three very well. If we want to remain free, we’d better learn to use them, and quickly. As a veteran I pray to the Lord that we never need to use that last box.

We all see how the Republicans and Democrats have indicated their desire to rule every aspect of our lives by the legislation they force upon us. As our leaders continue to make unconstitutional laws and we do nothing, it is WE who deserve to suffer the legacy we’re passing to our children. A citizenry ignorant of its rights is doomed to slavery.

Well, all the indicators point to a steady, purposeful nulification of the entire constitution despite the will of the first three.

The real problem is that the inherent anger in so many sectors of the populous. When (not if) this place gets hit hard enough, it will be very difficult to restrain the rage and hatred many feel because of their circumstances. What I say is not politically correct, but all the indicators say that individual selfishness could very well complete our fall long after our evil government has toppled itself.

I doubt our artificially boosted economy will last for much longer. China is seriously considering dumping the dollar. They currently hold more than a trillion dollars. You wanna see inflation? 1929 was nothing...

All things considered, I can only urge every concerned and aware citizen in America to openly display your contempt for the law enforcement heroes, and desecrate in every way possible their sense of entitlement which they brandish over your lives with such utter abandon at this time. Never under any circumstances show them any respect. I remember from www.thinkfree.ca that Robert recommends seeing the paper-pushing bureaucrats and police officers as people too, and better yet in my opinion connect them back to the life-serving needs or values behind their jobs/actions that can connect them to their hearts as described in the following quote or else they just might use their power hungry position to make you wish you hadn't intended disrespect. My one request from this post out of my need for peace is to read 'Nonviolent Communication' almost at every library in Canada and usA. It is very powerful; often I see people crying for joy and relief because they have finally been heard as a result of using this; also, I believe this may be the only chance that one in a concentration camp will have of actually getting out. Even if you never use it verbally, I request those reading this read 'Nonviolent Communication'.

If things get bad and considering the fact that the government will be using canadian and mexican soldiers to pacify us i believe it'll be a bloody conflict and we could prevail.

Johnny 82 .............. I really do not think that Canadian troops would take up arms against American citizens.

Canadians are fighting the same battle and seem to be more informed that the American people are. They have Connie Foggle up there who is running for office and she has been very vocal for a very long time! So I doubt that the Canadians would fight against us.

However with the amnesty thing ..............I think that the powers that be would stir up the Mexicans especially in the 9 south and west states and they might fight. They think that this is their land which was stolen from them anyway!

Your suggestions are appropriate for the disagreements which may arise amongst your members, but turning to the animals of Government which prey upon you with utter ruthlessness, I find these comments to be laughably irrelevant. For example, how polite and thoughtful of language shall one of your citizens be who is locked away in prison for 20 years related to charges of possessing a small amount of drugs which the CIA smuggled into the country in the first place? And how polite and respectful shall a citizen be who has written a letter of protest or divulging of Government crime to the media or to others - only to have their home illegally pilfered or their mail opened or their computer hacked by Government? You may be non-provocative during a routine traffic stop, but I can suggest these diffeering scenarios during which you have the right and the obligation to make your stand in a more aggressive manner.
