This was an article on Truthout.org. In the article it stated that it was career intelligence people who threatened to leak the NIE Report, and even go to jail if necessary. That is why the administration had to acknowledge it. Unfortunately it did not paste and an older copy and paste of Clooney and Pitt doing their Creig skit pasted.

Glad to see that our Administrator is on his toes and caught me on this one. I did not have time to get back and erase the link before he was taking me to task. Very Happy

Actually I think it was funny that the link would have been Clooney and Pitt, given the outspoken barbs Clooney has had to say about this administration!

Frankly NeoRayden, I feel that Clooney and Pitt were making a political statement about Senator Larry Craig and the fact of his hyprocrisy. There is nothing that brings down a lying, politician better than humor. Contrary to NeoRayden's opinion I feel this skit was absolutely appropriate for this forum and anywhere else for that matter. Humor is universal, and an incredible tool when people have been subjected to the fearmongering that this administration has dished out!

Shaun that is a very good question. I was wondering the same but then I dismissed it as being yet another way for users of this forum to be a distraction from any true purpose.

However I would really like to hear a response too. Maybe there was a mix up or something. Maybe that post was mean for the National Enquirer website or something. It is easy to confuse the two sometimes. LOL!

If you were not so arrogant and condesending you would know that Larry Craig is a very powerful Senator from Idaho who was caught in a compromising situation. He served in the house from 1981 to 1991, and in the senate since 1991 till present. A 26 year career in government.

He has been deplored because of his hyprocrisy. It has been on all of the mainstream media, alternate talk radio and the press for months. Another scandal for this administration.

Clooney and Pitt were doing a political parody about Craig's "wide stance excuse" when he was arrested for soliciting sex in a men's washroom. He has been accused of having homosexual/bisexual relationships and in fact 5 other men have just outed him this week. His hyprocrisy was in he way he voted whenever it had to do with the homosexual community.

Just because you are not interested in the honesty of our elected officials, does not mean that the rest of the people on this form are not. If the number of p . ms I have received about this is any indication I would say that you are in the minority. This has nothing to do with his homosexuality/bisexuality but his holier than thou hyprocrisy in his voting record and what appears to most to be his transparent "I've got a wide stance" excuse cover up!

The hyprocrisy had to do with the way he voted when it had anything to do with the homosexual community.

Just because these two men, Clooney and Pitt, happen to work in the movie industry does not mean that they are not political beings and or patriotic Americans. Maybe just as much or even more so than you or any one of us here on this forum.

Clooney has uses his status to speak out against this administrations errosions of our freedoms every chance he can get. For years he has taken on Bill O'Riley of Fox News. Pitt, has spoken out about the lack of help for the people who are still suffering from Katrina. Then he went into action. He chose to do something about it and has taken it upon himself to clean up the disaster that is still left after Katrina. He has now started a project to build homes for those who were left homeless in the ninth ward. A hell of a lot more that either you or I have done. Hardly people to be so calously dismissed because of their celebrety statuts. Also they reach more people than anyone here on this form could possibly reach. With their skit they have probably done more to eliminate the fear that this administration has been using to control people and put their evil agenda in place. Now we can laugh the bastards out of office!!!!

You have no need to be "sorry," and focus on what ever you want to focus on. That is called freedom. Just because you choose to do things the way you see fit does not make you right and everyone else wrong. Your way is right for you. Freedom is all about EACH ONE of us choosing whatever way we individually see fit to achieve the movements goals about bringing back the Constitution and repealling all of the repressive acts and bills this administration has put in place. Your way is not the only way, but just ONE way that fits into the bigger picture.

I am amazed about how illinformed you are about U.S. Senators, since you are supposedly a politician. This is beyond belief sinced Senator Larry Craig has had such a long and powerful political career. One would have had to have been with Bin Laden in a cave somewhere on the Pakistan, Afghanistan border not to have heard about Craig's arrest, and his hyprocrisy! It has been and still is on every network, talk radio and every newspaper for the past 4--5 months.

Craig has been exposed by every segment of the country, from gays to hetrosexuals, liberals to conservatives because of his hyprocrisy! That is why this was such a funny political satire! I had posted it days ago in the political forum. When I went to paste the other link evidentally it had not been copied correctly. I noticted that the former Clooney/Pitt copy paste had been pasted instead. However as I came back to erase and correct it Shaun too was confused and hence his post. That was all of 11 seconds. I did not have enough time toerase it. Shaun and I have communicated on our Skype accounts he has now made the connection.

By the way they are not "my celebs" as you put it. What kind of a cheap shot was that?

George W. Bush was quick to start shooting from the hip too, and he would have and may still attack Iran. That did not and does not make him right!

It would be suicide in most intelligent people's minds to take up arms against the government right now. In fact it could be just what they want people to do so that they could put Martial Law in place. It seems they also have quite a few locations that are up and running, just waiting for something like this to happen.

Are you advocating taking up arms at this point NeoRayden? One needs to use some kind of rational judgement when they start advocating such actions! They have all kinds of laws now in place to do what ever they want.............so why would you go against some of the best military stratigists.

There are not even close to enough boots on the ground for any action such as you seem to be suggesting. We saw just how well protected Ed and Elaine were and look what the consequences were for them!

In the mean time I feel the tide turning. That is one of the reasons why I posted Clooney and Pitt's skit on Friday Dec. 7 on the political forum, exposing the hyprocrisy/dishonesty of politicians. I remember hearing something about a Senator and a bathroom stall incident. I forgot his name was Craig. Sure we have gay people, pedophiles, and probably the president leaves on vacation so much to go back to the ranch and suck on Mr. Ed's pecker for weeks on end. Who cares it's their life they can suck on all the pecker they want.

Now on another note. You mention Martial Law like it is a bad thing. The only way it is a bad thing is if you are a fence sitter. If you truly believe in your heart you are doing what is right and you truly believe you are willing to die for freedom, Martial Law should not matter. Sure some people may need to suffer. But if we succeed we will be free. I don't know about you but a 1% chance that my children will be free is enough to make me at least try. I do not hide the fact that I believe the government over stepped their bounds. I am not afraid to make that statement. I have no fear.

If any one here chooses to be a fence sitter I encourage you to choose one side or another very soon. From an insiders point of view I can tell you that Ron Paul's Balloon is not the only one on the rise. Fence sitters, on that fateful day will be the ones unprepared and the ones most hurt in the process.

You can call me a politician but I am far from that. I am a simple patriot that has tried and currently still tries to seek a peaceful change through the ballot box. Unfortunately there has never been a country in history to ever vote themselves out of tyranny. Still until that balloon reaches it's peak I will continue to focus some effort into a peaceful resolution.

Martial Law is inevitable to gain total control. In order for us to win we must make them go along for the ride on our terms. If it is on their terms it will be to late. MM for what I understand you are an older lady. I have much respect for older people and what I would like to see more than anything is for you to see a truly free country. You have lived a long life and you deserve to live the rest as a free lady of honor and not having to worry about being listed as a terrorist for simply wanting to be free.

I am willing to give my life to ensure freedom for those that may not be able to do so themselves.

Again, you missed the point entirely.................it was not about his or anyone else's sexual preference that has caused the ridicule. It was about his hyprocrisy because of his actions and his voting record! Get it? One after another this corrupt administration has been exposed and it is unraveling very nicely right now. People are finally aware of their fearmongering and laughing at them, best couner reaction to fear!...............but the anger is growing and anger motivates people!

What you go on to post is YOUR opinion about what is right, FOR YOU. That does not make it RIGHT, PRACTICLE OR POSSIBLE FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE. That does not make them less patriotic than you. You do not seem to understand that and seem to want everyone to do what you are advocaing. You come across as being highly judgemental ..............where is the freedom in that?

You may be right, but I definitely do not feel that way. There are MANY WAYS TO FIGHT THIS, and it is NOT fence sitting, as you suggest, for any of us to choose actions that are different or even opposite to your actions. Your way is just one way, not the ONLY way.

However, to advise and/or encourage people who are not prepared, skilled or have the knowhow to take up arms and suffer the consequences is, I feel, criminal. The fact that you even use the same rationalisations as the fascists "that some will be hurt," speaks volumns to me. I am not prepared to see any more innocent victims killed because of stupid people who will not sit down and communicate with others. Most Americans have had very little training with guns or warfare of any kind and what would happen is a slaughter.

Have you ever been in a war type situation NeoRayden? It does not sound like you have, otherwise you would be much more cautious in your speech. Have you ever considered what would happen to inexperienced people against a force such as Blackwater? Have you forgotten the wounds of the civil war, that still show their ugly heads today, between the south and north in America? Are you prepared to once again see families devided and brother fighting brother, father fighting son etc......as happened during that war? You may be sure Blackwater will be called out if ever there is Martial Law put in place by this administration. Look what these Bastards have been doing in Iraq to innocent people in our name. They are Bush/Cheney's brown shirts and they are all phycopaths! I have looked into the eyes of many phycopaths in my profession and I for one will tell you that it is a frightening experience. It is not cowardly to admit fear. Quite frankly fear is necessary for preservation.

For the populous to go up against thugs like Blackwater who have just come back from iraq would be total insanity and most people will not and can not take your position seriously at this time. In wars timing is everything! So in the mean time boycotting, will work just fine for most of the population. There are many levels where people are working against the fascism that seems to be overtaking the whole world right now. They are very effective and have nothing to do with warfare. Believe me I know this. My deseased husband was a Political Scientist who specialised in the Middle East. I am still friends with and have contact with these people today.

Freedom is a state of mind NeoRayden. One can be free no matter where they are. However I can not help but feel extreme pain at knowing that Ed and Elaine are in prison at this stage of their lives. It is much more difficult for them in their mid sixties than it would be for one in their 20's or 30's. It is a hell of a way to spend the last decades (?) of one's life, especially if they have been productive, decent, law abiding citizens all their lives. This is not what most of us consider as American.

I have participated in civil disobedience all my life on a level that is entirely different than yours and we achieved many of our goals. But many were still left to do. Unfortunately people became complacent and the powers that be took over big time! I will tell you that it was not until the killings at Kent State did the American people wake up! That they did, finally. It is an historical fact too that the oppressed always rise up against their masters! History has a way of repeating itself and we can only hope that once again the strong desire for freedom will trump greed and control.

I say to you there never has been a country that was based on a Constitution and Bill of Rights such as ours. We are the New World Order! In fact I know that for a fact. He then went into an arrythmia and had to be hospitalized!

If we play it smart we can do this without one bullet being fired.............well with a minimum of of bullets being fired, especially on the innocent or the patriots. There are many people in the know who are far more brillant than any of us here who know what to do and when to do it.............that I am positive of and it will be done! Even old man Bush was heard saying recently when asked about Jeb becoming president.........."I think the people have had enough of the Bushs now." The old fascist Bastard has got that right!

Yes I am older than you NeoRayden, approximately the same age as the woman candidate running for office. A lot younger than Ron Paul. But since I plan to have a long, happy and fulfilling life I would say I am now only approaching middle age. Because I have lived a healthy life, with lots of exercise I am in tremendous good health. Better than some in their 30's. With age comes wisdom, so you, hopefully, just might have something to look forward to sometime in your future.

I seem to recall in past posts with you, you stated that you could not make it to New Hampshire and visit with Ed and Elaine because you are responsible for the welfare of your children. Now you claim that you are ready to sacrifice yourself by going to jail or being killed so that they can have freedom. While this sounds very noble of you indeed, it feels very emotional, irrational and not very consistent to me.

In fact it does not make much sense. What will happen to your very young children if either of these things happen to you? Hopefully their mother or some member of your family will be able to provide for them. If not they will be institutionalized and that is not even close to freedom for any child. Even during WW II married men with young children were the last to ever be called up!

Far be it for me to give anyone advise. However, I believe that we still need more boots on the ground and some more of the military and intelligence community ready to support the people against people like Bush, Cheney and all of these rotten neocons, regardless of party! We need a few Daniel Ellsbergs and I feel we are just about ready to get them. The NIE Report is a start in that direction.

The NIE Report has been supressed by this administration for almost a year. There were intelligent officials like McConnal who threatened to resign if it was not released immediately. Others were prepared to leak it and risk even going to jail. That is a tremendous reversal, and proof that the tide is turning in our favor. I can only hope that maybe these people too have finally become aware and remembered their Constitutional and patriotic duty! Patriots abide in all kinds of places, not just on this and other similar forums.

We now have Card and Bartlett coming out against Rove and his revisionist tactics about congress rushing to war and not the administration, president and vice president being the ones who were pushing for the attack on Iraq! That bombed this week big time and we have not heard much from Rove lately. Maybe he remembered he is still under investigation.

Their belief that they can create reality is no longer working. It will not be long now and hopefully we will get some sort of investigation on all of them if not impeachment! I for one would love to see them brought to justice and imprisoned. Then we take on the whole damn system and start cleaning up all the way up to the Supreme Court. I would like to see both parties dismanteled and new parties organized in their place.

Another thing I would like to see is a moratorium on lawyers being able to run for office for a good long time. This was once the law in the U.S., that lawyers could not run for office. I think we should take another look at this law again and consider it.

As far as the mainstream media is concderned, most intelligent people do not even take them seriously any more. The internet is where we get our news now and the global elite know it! That is why they are against net neutrality. With the internet we have the most powerful tool in our hands and we have to use it wisely. We did not have this as a tool during the Vietnam war unfortunately, or it just might have ended sooner.

The exposure of this administration's (and past) criminal deeds and lies are exposed and posted almost immediately. They can not function with this kind of exposure. They need secrecy. Right now I feel that it is not the most popular thing for people to belong to "secret societies", such as the Masons, Illuminati, and Skull and Bones. Hopefully they too will be wiped off the face of the earth.

I only regret that the net was not developed sooner. Possibly there would not have been 58,000 young men of my generation who lost their lives in Vietnam. My generation had to experience that and it was painful. They too believed they were fighting for freedom! It became "freedom is just another word for nothing left to loose." Don't think you have had that exerience yet, Neo, and I hope you never will!

I once saw a chart that I cannot find anymore. It was the Cycle of an Empire. You could say that it starts with freedom and due to complacency the elite arise, once they gain strength oppression occurs, and then total enslavement. After which in a natural course of events the spirit of freedom in all of us will rise up and at that time a battle will once again occur and the enslaved will once again be free.

Oppression occurs because of it's own cycle. One way to explain how oppression is perpetuated in our society is by defining the following terms and showing the link between them, the momentum that keeps the cycle going.

1. Stereotype
A preconceived or oversimplified generalization about an entire group of people without regard for their individual differences. While often negative, stereotypes may also be complimentary. Even positive stereotypes can have a negative impact however, simply because they are broad generalizations.

The stereotypes we hold form the basis of our prejudices.

2. Prejudice
A conscious or unconscious negative belief about a whole group of people and its individual members.

When the person holding the prejudice also has and uses the power to deny opportunities, resources or access to a person because of their group membership, there is discrimination.

3. Discrimination
Prejudice plus the power. Discrimination can take many forms, including racism, sexism, heterosexism, ableism, ageism, etc.

Many acts of discrimination build up over time, perpetuated against one relatively less powerful social group by a more powerful social group, lead to a group of people being in a state of oppression.

4. Oppression
The systematic subjugation of a group of people by another group of people with access to social power, the result of which benefits one group over the other and is maintained by social beliefs and practices.

Because oppression is institutionalized in our society, target group members often believe the messages and internalize the oppression.

5. Internalized Oppression
The "buying into" the elements of oppression by the target group.

When target group members believe the stereotypes they are taught about themselves, they tend to act them out and thus perpetuate the stereotypes which reinforces the prejudice and keeps the cycle going.

Now I once questioned if in order for one person to be free another must be enslaved. Just like light needs dark and good needs evil. I came to the conclusion that freedom can be shared by all but humans unfortunately do not have that ability yet. It is my hope that within a few generations we can get to that point but until that time both cycles will continue.

I hope so, unfortunately I do not believe that will occur. When you talk politics many people may get upset and every time they will just look for the better lier. Ron Paul is the wild card here. But if we cannot get a significant amount of third party voters to vote for Ron Paul the Rep. and Dem. renegades will not cut it. Seeing that as reality I predict a Dem. President and by 2010 the house will be filled with Republicans again.

This country needs a complete overhaul. It needs a constitutional convention that will completely rewrite it to include new views of freedom. We need a constitution for humanity not men, for detailing the unalienable rights of all without permission or purchase, and to fix many other flaws that will extend the length of freedom in the next cycle.

It came from Ed's own mouth they were not overpowered they gave up. They had the opportunity yet they gave up. I have no intention of doing the same. Matter fact it is more than just no intentions it is a 100% certainty that I will live free or die.

I work hard everyday to overcome any last minute fear that may naturally arise. I am not afraid of being tasered, I electrocute myself and build more muscle mass everyday to build resistance. That would be the only thing they could do to intimidate me at any time. My family is safe and for me to find out that someone messed with them would be their downfall.

Well having both parties dismantled is a fantastic idea yet I do not believe we need political parties at all. Parties are groups of people that work for the good of that group and it only fosters a class system. Now if candidates for office ran independently it would be harder to introduce the amount of corruption we have today in government. There would be no straight ticket vote and there certainly would be a better opportunity for all candidates to be on the same level when it came to ballot access.

Anyone should be able to run for office but an elected position should have time limits unless the votes for a candidate at the end of his term can get 2/3 of the voters to vote him/her in again. There should also be no pensions or health coverage incentives that would encourage a career.

Once again I want to reaffirm that I want a peaceful resolution to this mess but I do not believe we will get one.[img][/img]

Glad to hear you are for peaceful resolutions and sorry to hear that you do not believe we will have one.

Believe it and you will see it. So therefore You individually may not see a peaceful resolution ...............what we believe usually becomes self fullfilling prophecies!

I too heard what Ed said to Shaun. However I refer you to Elaine's written account about what happened to them the Night of the Capture, posted here on the home page, which I quote below.

They were outnumbered 5 to 2, tasered, and of course the "others" had the advantage of a suprise attack. No one can win against these odds.

Still feel that we should have another look at allowing lawyers to run for office...........they have an unfair advantage and the ones who are not in jail, will be busy enough cleaning up the judicial system all the way to the Supreme Court!!!! But I do admit that could be because of my own dislike of the profession generally! Hopefully someday I will get over this quirk of mine............somehow I do not think it will happen in this life time!
