The Concord Monitor and the Union Leader are nothing but propaganda rags!

These two papers were not even close to fair in their reporting of the Ed and Elaine Tax Truthers' story. They constantly twisted things to demonize the Browns.

Their man spin was that Ed and Elaine were violent people, giving the impression that they were going to come out with their guns blazing. This was a blatent distrotion of the facts. Ed always talked about defense. Defending himself, Elaine and their property. These two papers are responsible for siding with the corrupted judicial court and marshals that are running wild in the state of New Hampshire right now.

Margot Sanger-Katz, who was the main reporter on the Ed and Elaine story, registered here on this form way back in the beginning, under the name scoop, yet has never posted once.

Scoop was here for days monitoring the site for information after Shaun got through to Ed and learned that he had been tortured. Now we know that there still has been no investigation into Ed's claims. The Warden of the prison is giving the people who are trying to find out just what happened the run around.

Why haven't these papers picked up on this and do some investigation so that we can get the truth about what happened?

Until they do....................stop your subscription to both of these papers. They are not reporting anything even close to the truth.

I was surfing the web for chatter on the story and came across this story.I thought some may be interested in it.People forget that bad publicity can also wake people up.They reported on this site right?People who are not mindless drones or that are curious will visit the site to see the truth with their own eyes.So in this instance bad news is shining light on the truth.Their half truth being busted by the truth many will see and read from the site.So the media is shooting themselves in the foot by not posting the whole truth.

However it did not seem to work any for Ed and Elaine in their community of Plainfield. I did not see that their neighbors or the towns people stood up for them or their right to a fair trial whatsoever.

In fact their neighbors, selectmen, all the "law enforcement" people and the press should hang their heads in shame over their cowardice and intimidation.

They brag about the fact that US Marshal Stephen Monier did such a good job with the way he handeled the situation, comparing it to Ruby Ridge and Wacco.

MaidMarion I agree that many who should have stood up did not and its sad.Problem is that many people are either ignorant of what happens around them,or they are willfully ignorant.There is a small difference.In one case you can inform and teach the person the information.The other puts their head in the sand going "BLAH BLAH BLAH".Many people have woke up to what is going on around them.This is true and great.Problems rise with people who love information spoon fed to them.

There are many in diferent movements that think because they watched a few videos that they are informed.These people were turned off of the main stream news to other formats.It reminds me of a type of person who watches a do it yourself film and believes they can easilly do what they saw on the film.Then there are those that think just knowing the truth themselves is enough.Then there are those who are to afraid to speak up or speak out.

It is a wide area of people with diferent ideas and beliefs.Some only believe so much.If people watched the videos then looked up the information themselves and did actual research they would be far more informed.As there is only so much you can put into a film and most times you have several bits of information launched at you at once.As an exampile the evidence that thermite was used in the world trade towers.

How many have actually looked up what a thermite reaction looked like?Or read exactly how thermite works?Knowing some thing is not the same as learning it.I hope that people do their own research into these types of things.We are all only human and as such make mistakes.So no one should ever take what they are told at face value.Ed brown and his wife I am certain did their own research and did not have all their info spoon fed to them.

Its sad that the majority of our people can not even describe what is in our us constitution.There has been a huge awakening of the masses recently though.And waking others up and keeping those awake who have woken up should always be something we all do.Just sitting down discussing it with friends and family is a great place to start.And then urging them to do the same starts a snow ball effect.

Me i woke up a little diferently.At first i bought the original stories concerning 9/11/2001.I wanted to see the planes hitting the towers again and ended up falling down the rabit hole.The more i looked into 9/11 the more questions i had.The harder i looked to find those answers.And found more answers then i was realy ready for.I am the type of person that never takes things at face value and likes to see the information and evidence first hand.

There is trouble coming.You can just feel it in the air.More people are waking up each day.And that is pushing these people to get more drastic and in doing so they wake up others by their actions.I researched and watched what happened at waco.It sickened me to see that in our country let alone by those who were hired in the name of the people to protect the people.

My heart goes out to the famillies and survivers.I watched and researched what happened at ruby ridge.My heart goes out to Randy and his family.It sickened me and brought more then a few tears.I have a 5 year old daughter and a 3 year old son.And I am not sure what i would do if i were in randys shoes.Or in the shoes of those at waco.I look back at my past and think of when i was a kid and how much my children are going to miss out on and what freedoms they have lost.

Each person has a limit to what they can and will do.And if pushed far enough will do what they need to.Those who are awakened have several groups.Some who are afraid,some who are not fully informed and those who have been pushed to far.But each has the limit of when they draw their line in the sand and say this far and no further.Many have already drew that line,while others are not yet to that point.

Hate only breeds more hate.And many of those in power know this.And as such I think are waiting.They are waiting for the movements to get violent to use it to take more rights from us.I just hope people keep in mind that these people strive on fear and hatred.And use it to manipulate the masses.So i hope all are carefull not to be caught up into it and let it consume them.Because at that point they no longer become part of the solution but are instead creating more problems.

There is a time to make a stand.There are times to fight.Knowing which is which and not confusing the two will help better to guide you.As launching into a fight and attacking to soon will undo what every one has worked for so far.Power and fighting should always be to defend never to destroy.Its real easy to lose sight of that.Well sory i made this so long but just had to put my two cents in for what they are worth. I can not see one point that I disagree with in your post. And I agree with you about knowing when to fight. This of course is way beyond me. I am a anti-war person, and though I speak up and speak up firmily and as loudly as I can, that is where it usually draw the line. Now I am not so sure, because I firmly believe that there is a rogue group that are in both parties who are really globalists and want to see the distruction of this country.

I used to write a lot of articles and take them to the churches. I found out that even the people who were against me would read the articles out of anger. I would rather that they hear the Truth and be angry than not hear it at all.

Just like the 9-11 truth movement. People are denied the right to present the Truth of 9-11 via the mass media. So, they have taken and used different methods to get exposure. Like, Wearechange - they got some attention. Their efforts will awaken more people than will ever be turned away. If I had been in that audience, I would wonder what all the commotion is about, and I would do some research on 9-11.

MaidMarion I agree that it is more up to those with the training to make that choice.I have no military training.I was born and raised here in what many here call West by god Virginia lol.I was raised quite old fashioned being raised by my grandparents and had that type of mind set my whole life.I was taught how to hunt and fish and survive.These are things that seem to be lost on many of our youth.Many have not even seen a real forest.

And with our modern society creeping more and more onto what was once wild and free future generations are losing something every one should experience once in their life time.My wife looked at me funny when i told her i was taking her out to learn how to shoot.But I explained to her that its something that can help you in more ways then one.When my children get older i will take them out and teach them the land and why it is important to protect it and their freedoms.

I am a peacefull person and do not like to fight.But I am also raised with the belief that while you do not start a fight you certainly do not back down if you know you are in the right.That is by all definition taking a stand.Growing up I came across many bullies who loved to torment me and others.But they soon found out its not a good idea to push some one to far.When you have nothing else to lose and every thing to gain humanity transends to another level.

On that level they find strength and courage that some may only dream of having.I know it was not right to feel that way but seeing a bully get his teeth knocked out always made me smile.There is a song by Garth brooks called face to face.I think it is a song many should listen to.It explains exactly what I am talking about.While I do not wish to fight I will if pushed to that level.

Rella I learned long ago to speak from the heart.And to speak your mind.Doing that often reaches people much faster then preaching at them.Many churches confuse preaching to the people to mean to preach at them.And its why many break from the church.That and the fact many feel it is their place to look down on others.The hipocrits I have met in my life is why I stopped going to church.

Many preach "Do as I say,not as I do".Each person should lead by exampile not by words.Actions always speak louder then words.I am the type of person that will bend over backwards to help others.And have done so in the past.Many people do not do this in our day in age as they are to much self absorbed and rush through life.They do not see or feel the simple joys in life that make it worth living.

Then people wonder why they have become depressed.Its no wonder if you look around you at how every one is always in a rush never taking time for their family and friends.Churches use to enforce this yet now they are reserved to reading the bible from the floor and not from in their own heart.Speaking some thing and believing it are not the same thing.As an example they preach of the miracles in the bible yet see any power a person may have (like seeing into the future as an exampile) as coming automatically coming from satan.

They seem to have lost their way in life.Just like teachers who are there for a pay check and not to help or to teach.Society is changing and not for the best I believe.People are taught that speaking up makes no diference.And that you can not win against the enemy.Its just sad to see the destruction of what so many died to bring about and to protect.I hope people can see into the past at the people who gave all and not the words which many seems to do.

I'm still here. I'm not sure what you'd like me to post about. I'm always happy to chime in if any of you need help with information or court documents or anything like that. I know many of you are far from the action here in New Hampshire and I try to keep pretty close tabs on what's going on in the Brown case.

I understand that not everyone is going to be happy with my coverage. But one brief comment in my own defense: I was the first reporter to cover Ed Brown's allegations of torture and I did so in the most detail of anyone in the MSM. If any government org does get into my system those places will be looking at severe legal issues along with a voice to Senators and Congressmen of my State. The local police here are pretty much for the people as far as I have witnessed. I know someone whos Father has been part of the police for a long time.

They can investigate me for all I care but no one will be allowed on my property to investigate just because I come to a board to read and post. My life is nothing interesting and any investigations will be dull and a waste of taxpayers money.

I will repeat: The responsibilities of anything "Federal" is only to the protection of the people by foreign entities and invasions and not to harass Citizens. - The Feds get their permissions by the States.

Good to see you finally posted Margot! I copy the following for your edification. I also refer you to the new Bill HR 1955 and ask you if you do not see this as a direct attack on "Freedom of Speech?" For me, it is a very serious transgression on the First Amendment.

My objection to one of your articles stands out............that was McAuliffe's vague reference that his life was threatened. All people lie, exaggerate or frame things to their benefit for a multitude of reasons. What I strongly objected to was the lack of follow up questions to McAuliffe. that was so obvious to me.....some of which would have been ...........Could you care to be more specific sir? Is their any one person or group that has threatened your life?

I feel that John Swinton,(see his toast below) for a short moment in time tried to speak the truth. I wonder if he decided to speak so honestly thinking that he might encourage people in your profession to report with some kind of integrity. Well it has not happen very much yet and as you can see that was 54 years ago! In fact research suggests that the media has become more and more stiffled over these past fifty-four years.

I realize you are a very young woman still in your twenties. You have no recolletion of your parents discussing WW II right in front of you when you were a child. I do. Also from all of my research about that period in human history, now with the passing of the Patriots Act I and II, the Military Commissions Act of 2006, Bush giving himself the power of a dictator in May, 2007 with HSPD-20and NSPD-51 and now the HR 1955 Bill, it is more than ample proof, for me, that our freedoms are being eroded along with the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

It is you and your generation that is going to suffer the consequences of these Acts and Bills that have been passed by these neocon psycopaths. It is you and your generation that is going to be stuck with a bankrupt country and a national debt that is in the trillions. You and future generations will never know the freedoms I have known because you will be nothing more than corporate slaves to the fascist regims. That truly saddens me and I will do everything I can to try and prevent it from happening.

NO SUCH THING AS AN INDEPENDENT PRESS IN AMERICA, 1953

It has been reported that in 1953, John Swinton, the former Chief of Staff for the New York Times, was asked to give a toast to the independent press before the New York Press Club. It is obvious that he believed that the concept of an "independent press" was a farce that he no longer wished to be a party to. The following is reported to be a quote from his monumentally revealing toast:

"There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history, in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know before hand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of the paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone. The business of journalist is to destroy the truth: to lie outright: to pervert; to vilify: to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it. What folly is this, toasting to an independent press? We are the tools and vassal of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks; they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."

I have to tell you, I thought your reporting of the Browns was biased towards the government. Making grandma and grandpa out to be criminals when all they asked for was to see the law they were breaking. I believe I heard Ed say in his videos many times, show me the law and I’ll pay up. What is so hard about that, why didn’t the FEDS show it him and end the discussion, end the standoff and get paid, all without anyone going to jail? What a novel idea!

Instead of showing the law, the government stole everything they had from them and put them behind bars to shut them up. Everything they worked an entire lifetime to obtain is gone. Without legal jurisdiction, they had no permissions from our state to take the actions they did, it was all done covertly and everyone involved has violated the public trust. Making The People feel it was right and just when in actuality it was tyranny in action.

Why you ask? Because New Hampshire gets to partake of the booty and they get to scare the people into further compliance. Scare The People and gain control of those people. I do understand your position though; after all you have to play to the big boys at the rag to keep food on your table. Even if you agreed with Ed you would have to write otherwise just to keep and do your job. You’re just a mouthpiece for corporatism after all.

I have to tell you; I am ashamed at what the Concord Monitor has become, and no longer subscribe to what you call a news paper. To think I used to take pride in delivering your paper as a boy, that thought now turns my stomach. The media is free only because you are a tool to protect the rights and the liberties of The People, and you, and your paper, have stray far from that responsibility and bowed to corporate America.

Feel free to publish this blog if you dare, and by the way, it was nice talking to you twice over the past few months while you were calling to research other stories.

I'm glad you no longer call your paper The Concord Monitor Patriot, because you no longer deserve that title.

The idea of a Free Press is a nice concept but there are very few true free sources of information. There is a show that I listen to in the evenings on RBN. It is the Michael Collins Piper show that comes on from 8:00pm to 9:00pm CDT/CST. Michael is a writer for a really informative newspaper known as the "American Free Press".

Listening to his show is really a lesson in life in many respects. All the man does is to try to tell the truth and he get's maligned and demonized something terrible. A fascist organzation known as the ADL ( who were very vocal against the Browns by the way) have maliciously tried to destroy Mr. Piper on many occasions. Mr. Piper is very estute about the Zionist control of our media, government and corporate empires of the USA. And nefarious organizations like the ADL do not want truth. Truth is our adversary's worst enemy.

Jesus Christ proved to us that the TRUTH will get you killed under some circumstances. Well nothing has changed. That's why you won't get much truth from the mainstream media as well know it. But I'm preaching to a well informed choir. Because the Browns have been courageous to show us the complete truth in one very vital sector. And unfortunately they are being made an example of. GOD Bless the Browns and GOD Bless all of you here who have the backbone to stand up for the TRUTH.

NEW YORK Newspaper executives have complained for years that the yardstick used to measure audience -- paid print circulation -- was unfair especially when compared to the likes of television and radio. Those media have always touted audience share to advertisers so why shouldn't newspapers?

Finally after years of debate, the industry is moving towards tracking its total audience which encompasses all its products (especially online viewership) -- not just how many people plunk down some coins for the newspaper. The change will be reflected next Monday, when the Audit Bureau of Circulations releases numbers for more than 700 daily newspapers throughout the country.

margot needs to figure out the facts. posting biased propaganda reminds me discinctly of communist russia and nazi germany.
