I'm listening to "republic broadcasting". I can only imagine the negative news that will be broadcast about the "tax evaders" on the national media. There probably won't be one positive thing said about these people. Of course, the truth will not be told.

Ed and Elaine have committed no crime.

Yes UE there was an infiltrator. Don't know who it was but obviously someone that Ed had trusted for sometime. He would not have allowed anyone new in expecially after the arrests of the four and the way they stoped the Live Free or Die concert.

I must say that I am glad that they were not killed. Where there is life there is hope. Maybe there will be an uprising and the people of New Hampshire will come out of their complacent denial. CONCORD, N.H. - A couple convicted of tax evasion who threatened violence if authorities approached them were arrested peacefully at their rural Plainfield home after holing up at the fortress-like compound for months, U.S. Marshals said.

One big question remained: How did authorities manage to take Ed and Elaine Brown into custody without the showdown they had promised?

U.S. Marshal Stephen Monier, who said repeatedly he would seek a peaceful surrender, planned to explain Friday morning in a news conference at the federal courthouse in Concord.

Ed Brown had warned authorities the authorities wouldn't take him alive: "We either walk out of here free or we die," he said earlier this year.

The Browns, who were turned over to the custody of the U.S. Bureau of Prisons, were convicted on federal tax charges in January and refused to turn themselves in to authorities when they were sentenced in April to five years and three months in prison.

"We had no indication that the Browns intended to voluntarily surrender, so we had to move forward with an operation that promised the safest possible outcome. That day was today," Monier said in a news release Thursday.

Expert observers had praised the authorities' hands-off approach, but patience wore thin for Plainfield's 2,400 residents. During the summer, town selectmen asked Monier to stop the influx of militiamen and other anti-government groups to the Browns' home and to bring the couple to justice.

Last month, authorities arrested four men accused of helping obstruct justice in the Browns' case. Charges ranged from accessory after the fact to possession and use of a firearm in relation to a crime of violence. Authorities also blocked access to a fundraising event on the Browns' property.

Monier said in the news release that since those arrests, "there had been a dip in the number of visitors to the house."

Ed Brown, 65, and his wife, 67, have claimed the federal income tax is not legitimate.

Earlier this year, officials cut power and telephone service in an effort to ratchet up pressure on the couple convicted of scheming to avoid federal income taxes by hiding $1.9 million of income between 1996 and 2003.

The couple's home, on 103 wooded acres, is on an isolated dirt road and includes a turret that offers a 360-degree view of the property and a driveway that is sometimes barricaded with sport utility vehicles.

Heavily armed police surrounded the home in June while they seized commercial property the couple owned in a neighboring town. SWAT teams, military and explosives vehicles marshaled in the tiny town and sparked rumors of a raid.

The Marshals Service said the gathered forces were only for surveillance.

The arrests "will be a relief to everyone in the community," said state Agriculture Commissioner Stephen Taylor, a Plainfield resident. "This has been such a distraction to everybody."

A message left for Elaine Brown's son, David Hatch-Bernier of Worcester, Mass., was not returned Thursday night.

David Grobe, a former dental patient of Elaine Brown's, said he noticed "an unusual amount of traffic all of a sudden" passing by the house, about 30 to 40 cars, about the time of the arrests. "There was no real indication that it was official," he said.

Neither he nor neighbor Robert Carpenter said they heard anything unusual. Carpenter said there were no marked cruisers, but a lot of large SUVs. "We called Plainfield Police and they called back and told us what was going on," he said.

Supporters of the Browns' cause called them leaders who were trying to protect their freedom.

"In many ways this was like a stab in the heart," said Mike Chambers, a talk show host on Republic Broadcasting Network, an Internet-based radio program based in Round Rock, Texas that has defended the Browns in the past. "All they said was, 'Show us the law.'"

On another Web site, supporter David Ridley of Manchester said Brown supporters should take part in "peaceable protests" at places such as the U.S. District Court.

I can only hope that somehow wethePeople can make a difference and secure our country from these evil tyrants that have a strangle hold on us. We owe it to our children. "thefeds" would enslave and murder as many of us as they desire by simply saying "it's your job".

regardless of the sixteenth amendment jaja there is still no law stating that we MUST PAY A INCOME TAX. the supreme court has ruled that the tax is voluntary.

in reference to ron paul: they're trying to shut him out of the primaries so if you or any of your friends and family are listed as democrats or independants you pay may want to change it to republican on a voter registration form and do it quickly because alot of states have new time limits.

Does anyone know who was at the Brown's house last night? If not, does anyone know how to find out.

What kind of scum would did this? Was this the work of a regular employee of one of the nazi clubs that works for the feds? Or was it someone who was paid and/or blackmailed to do this?

The work of this forum is not finished until the Brown's are freed. The work of patriots is not done until those who commit treasonous acts (such as what must have been the case last night) are held accountable.

I think the scum who work for the feds should be required to provide all details of all their activities in regards to the Browns. After all, they are paid with our money. There comes a time when all documents of the alphabet soup organizations need to be put in the hands of the citizens of this country. At that time justice may truly be served. I assume that if things begin to fall apart for them they intend to destroy all documents (standard operating procedure),,,,, if that is the case then the citizens will have no choice but to assume that they are all guilty of treason.

The point has come when the employees of these gestapo groups need to openly declare which side of the line they stand on.

Speculation is rife that the Browns were infiltrated and tricked before being violently subdued as authorities refuse to provide any details behind their arrest beside the fact that they did not peacefully surrender.

Observers were both saddened and confused about the announcement of the arrest of tax protesters Ed and Elaine Brown last night. Though none of us wanted to witness another Waco, we were all well aware of the fact that the Browns have stated on numerous occasions that they would not be arrested without a fight and would rather die than go to jail.

This prompted many to question how U.S. Marshals were able to seize the Browns with apparently little response, leading some to conclude that Ed and Elaine were tricked by one or more supporters whom they had taken into their confidence.

Posts on messageboards overnight feared that the Browns had been taken by surprise, violently subdued and probably shocked numerous times with Taser weapons before they even had a chance to resist.

The rumor mill is in high gear because officials have refused to provide any information regarding the details of the arrests, though a news conference is scheduled for 10am today.

All we know at this point is that the Browns were taken into custody after being seized by U.S. Marshals on their property at around 7:45pm last night.

Neighbors reported large convoys of SUV's approaching the property before the arrests.

"Grobe, a former patient of Elaine Brown, who used to run a dental practice, says he noticed "an unusual amount of traffic all of a sudden'' passing by the house last night. He said he saw 30 to 40 cars passing by, but had no idea if it was authorities," states an AP report.

Though the arrests occurred "without incident" and no one was injured, Monier admitted that the Browns "did not surrender," meaning they were likely violently subdued against their will.

If an informant was used to facilitate the arrest, it would not be the first time such tactics have been employed. In June, Ed Brown outed what he claimed was a Fed who had tried to provoke the Browns into making outlandish statements and rash decisions as part of "psychological operations" on behalf of authorities.

This came shortly after an aborted raid on the Brown's property during which supporter Danny Riley was arrested and later authorities attempted to coerce Riley into becoming an informant against the Browns. Marshals also threatened Riley with 15 years in jail unless he lied to the media and told them that the botched raid was not an attempted siege.

I would bet my truck that there truly was a Judas-goat involved. It almost had to have been Judas type trickery because Ed was a lot smarter than that. The news didn't detail any other people who might have been arrested. We need to find out who else was in that house.

People it is very important for all of us who have participated on this Forum to maybe pick a buddy, friend and/or confidant here on the Forum you feel you can trust. I wouldn't put it past these scum-wads to try to come after all of us who have posted on this Forum. I won't quit posting no matter what these bastards threaten me with. But all of you do keep in touch because there will be safety in numbers. These people are way too cowardly to come after all of us. I've personally been keeping 2 Forum members informed about everything I do. I won't mention their Forum names because they know who they are. But all of us need to keep in touch with each other at least on a daily basis if we possibly can.

We here on the Forum have the potential of being a huge trump card for the Browns. Also folks I highly encourage you all to become listeners to the Mid Night RIder Show and the D'Annn Burley Show both on RBN. Both of these shows are huge supporters of the Browns.
