That's cute. They can lie, say they are supporters, and take you into custody for a crime you didn't commit, but if you lie to them you're a felon.

Fortunately I never see the need to speak with such people beyond a few words like, "I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY" and "I WANT TO SPEAK TO MY LAWYER".

Why would anyone speak to them? They're nothing but trouble.

Absolutely agree with that Ahmed. In fact I have a few of my attorney's cards in my wallet and I have rehersed what to say which is "On the advise of my attorney I can not to talk with you please feel free to call him/her," and hand them the card!

So everyone of you just get any attorney's card...........whether he is your current attorney or not is irrelevant. Memorize the "on the advise of my attorney" etc....bit ....hand them the card and simle and say good day. You have nothing more to talk about with them.

Ivy obviously was taken by surprise and obviously shaken up. Her approach maybe was not as sophisticated as the above statement.......but she gets an A+++ in my book for standing up to them, having the guts to keep the camera on them, answering very forthrightly and not backing away even though you can hear the little quiver in her voice!!

Ivy chose to talk with them, that is her right and her choice. Remember that you do not have to talk with them at all. What Ivy did, by keeping the camera on the Agent, I feel, gave people some idea how a woman who was definitely frightened, kept the marshals behaving in a respectful manner. Her example just might serve to give us all some degree of courage. These guys and gals are dangerous, they are not there for your protection, that is not who they protect. They protect the authorities, for instances judges in courtroom, etc and the like. Sooooooooo...................carry a camera at all times. It may just save your or some other innocent's life.

Perfect example of how each of our choices are valid. Coming here and discounting other peoples choice of action is crap. Not everyone can go and get lists, etc............they have to work for a living or are not even living in the country right now. It is that type of dictitorial arrogance that needs to be stopped. We all do what we can. There is no one way to suport Ed and Elaine..................there are many and each one is valid.

For once I agree. Even the most cowardly or disabled person can collect information about oppressors. The people who are cut-and-pasting and advocating mass demonstrations that no one is going to, etc. etc. -- they could be sitting in their local courtroom taking down names. They could be getting personnel directories from various sources. They could be going through the tax roles and property records. They could make friends with people who do billing for utility companies.

What is the value of force if you don't know where to apply it?
